Positive Results: In a test conducted by Southern California Edison's Refrigeration Technology and Test Center (RTTC), econo-covers reduced refrigeration load by 8.5% at night and 41% over 24-hour holiday periods. These covers also reduced compressor power by 9% at night and 36% during the holiday time period. On average the product temperature inside the covered cooler was between 3°F to 5°F cooler.
